its development

As you will be aware, over the past two years the JISC e-Learning Programme
has funded the development of two online pedagogic planner tools, known as
Phoebe and the London Planner projects. These aim to support practitioners
in the design of effective and pedagogically sound learning opportunities,
which may or may not include the use of technology. Though still at the
proof-of-concept stage, both projects have already attracted international
interest.

The latest version of the LPP is now available on: *
londonpedagogyplanner.googlecode.com*

This is version 0.8, so still very much at the early stages of development
and testing. The project team would very much welcome comments and feedback
from the Design for Learning Programme community. Suggestions of where the
tool could link to other D4L outputs would also be very welcome.

The google code site enables enable people to download and try out the
latest builds of the tool, and look at the application's documentation and
code.

Googlecode site membership enables the use of the issue tracker, updates via
the mailing list and gives access to the commentary on the current release.

The team would also like to invite members of the community to join the
google code group in order to contribute to its development by, for example,
creating versions of instructions and advice for each stage, or designing
scripts for exporting the outline to an HTML or other type of file.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the development in this way should contact
Yishay Mor (yishaym [ at ] gmail [ dot ] com) for a developer account. He can also give
guidance on what development tasks could use your input best.
