To: WIK-DSMconference-2015 <WIK-DSMconference-2015 [ at ] wik [ dot ] org> Dear Colleague, We are pleased to announce that Günther Oettinger, Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society will give a keynote speech at WIK’s upcoming conference 12-13 October in Brussels - ‘New rules for a Digital Single Market?’. The conference will provide one of the first opportunities for an *in-depth analysis of the issues raised in the European Commission’s anticipated consultation on the EU framework for electronic communications* as well as offering a platform for speakers on both sides of the Atlantic to discuss next steps for net neutrality and policy issues raised by the growth of online platforms. In addition to Commissioner Oettinger, the conference will feature a keynote presentation from the incoming Chair of BEREC Wilhelm Eschweiler as well as contributions from leading academics including Prof. Pierre Larouche, Martin Cave, and Wolter Lemstra, and industry representatives from across the digital value chain. During the conference WIK will present the results of recent studies on ‘competition and investment’, and net neutrality - providing further insights to contribute to the debate.
