Το Free Software Foundation Europe ετοιμάζει καμπάνια "Ask your Candidate" ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Matthias Kirschner <mk [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org> Date: Tue, Apr 19, 2011 at 11:39 AM Subject: Help for Free Software questions for election in Greece To: Adrianos Dadis <adrianos [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org>, Constantine Mousafiris <kosmous [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org>, Giorgos Logiotatidis <glogiotatidis [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org>, Jann Eike Kruse <jannkruse [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org>, Kostas Boukouvalas <boukouvalas [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org>, Markos Chandras <hwoarang [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org>, Nikos Roussos <comzeradd [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org>, Stelios Stavroulakis <sstavra [ at ] fsfe [ dot ] org> Cc: fellowship [ at ] fsfeurope [ dot ] org Hello Adrianos, Constantine, Giorgos, Jann, Kostas, Markos, Nikos, and Stelios, I write you, because we want to get more politicians in Europe aware of Free Software, and I would like to work together with you to do that in Greece. We want to make http://fsfe.org/campaigns/askyourcandidates/ a priority activity of FSFE for the next years. AFAIK at September 1st you have parliamentary elections in Greece. Would it make sense to send a list of questions about Free Software to the different parties, and afterwards make them public? As German coordinator I am currently doing this with my time for the different federal state election in Germany (see <http://fsfe.org/campaigns/askyourcandidates/201103-germany-sachsen-anhalt.en.html>, <http://fsfe.org/campaigns/askyourcandidates/201103-germany-baden-wuerttemberg.en.html>, <http://fsfe.org/campaigns/askyourcandidates/201103-germany-rheinland-pfalz.en.html> currently only in German). What do you think about the idea that our German translators provide an English version of that, you check which questions make sense for Greece, and perhaps if you want to add one or two others (until beginning of May). Than you translate them into Greek, and sent them off to the political parties (mid May). In August you start translating the replies back to English, we prepare everything for publication, prepare a comment, publish this, and I help to get the results into the European press. Afterwards you have a lot of time to use some of the replies as a reason to contact parties and explain them Free Software in general or talk with them about specific topics. Would you be able help with that? Regards, Matthias -- Matthias Kirschner - Fellowship Coordinator, German Coordinator Free Software Foundation Europe (fsfe.org) Free Software is important to you?
