LIBER has been leading work on the Declaration and believes that libraries have a key role to play in supporting and advocating for the principles listed in the Declaration. Ahead of the launch, we therefore invite all LIBER members to become Founding Signatories. Signatories will agree to share and work towards the key vision of the Declaration, which calls for changes to intellectual property (IP) law and the removal of other barriers currently preventing widened and more equal access to Big Data. IP law was not designed to regulate the free flow of facts, data and ideas, nor should it. Founding signatories will be listed as such at the time of the launch and will help us to build real momentum for the Declaration. If you would like to receive an advance copy of the Declaration for your organisation's consideration, please email LIBER, using the address: *liber [ at ] kb [ dot ] nl <liber [ at ] kb [ dot ] nl>* With kind regards, Friedel Grant __ Friedel Grant Communications Officer, LIBER Europe +31 (0)70 314 0121 Skype: friedel.liber [image: Liber-logo-blue] _______________________________________________ acadelib mailing list acadelib [ at ] lists [ dot ] uth [ dot ] gr http://lists.uth.gr/mailman/listinfo/acadelib -- http://www.eellak.gr/, http://mycontent.ellak.gr/, http://www.creativecommons.gr, https://opengov.ellak.gr/, https://opendata.ellak.gr/, http://ma.ellak.gr/, http://mathe.ellak.gr/
