*Getting Started & Contribution Guidance*
To begin contributing effectively, we recommend:
1.
*Exploring the Spotify API*
- Familiarize yourself with authentication, playlist management, and
audio feature extraction.
- Since certain API endpoints (e.g., *Get Recommendations, Get
Track’s Audio Analysis*) have been deprecated, consider alternative
approaches like *Essentia for feature extraction*.
2.
*Experimenting with Emotion & Sentiment Analysis*
- Since you have research experience in *text-based emotion detection*,
testing *pre-trained models* (e.g., *DistilBERT, VADER, or custom
fine-tuned models*) for mood detection in conversational interactions
would be valuable.
- Think about how *mood shifts* over a conversation could dynamically
adjust playlist recommendations.
3.
*Prototyping Conversational AI for Playlist Refinement*
- Your experience in *full-stack chatbot development* could be leveraged
for creating a *chatbot-style UI* where users modify recommendations
in real-time (e.g., “Make it more relaxing”).
*Regarding IRC & Communication Channels*
At the moment, communication is primarily handled via *email to me and
Thanos*. If any real-time discussion channels (e.g., IRC, Slack, Discord)
are established, we will provide details.
