I am Darshil Thakkar, a B.Tech student in Artificial Intelligence and
Machine Learning at Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai.
I'm writing to express my strong interest in contributing to the GSoC 2025
project "PersonalAIs: Generative AI Agent for Personalized Music
Recommendations" mentored by Giannis Prokopiou and Thanos Aidinis.
My background aligns closely with this project's requirements:
- *AI/NLP Experience*: I've implemented chatbots using LLMs, LangChain,
and Hugging Face Transformers during my internship at Reliance Industries,
where I fine-tuned models with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) for
improved question-answering systems. I have extensive experience with
diverse RAG architectures, including Text-to-SQL RAG, knowledge graph based
RAG, and multimodal hybrid RAG for medical diagnosis applications.
- *Full-Stack Development*: I'm proficient in React, Node.js, FastAPI,
and Flask, with experience building intuitive user interfaces using
TailwindCSS. I also have experience developing mobile applications using
React Native, which could be valuable for extending the project to mobile
platforms.
- *API Integration*: I have experience integrating various APIs and
working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB) for data storage
and retrieval.
- *Relevant Projects*:
- Developed "LegalDoc-Translate-Query-Assistant," a RAG-based system
that processes documents, creates embeddings, and provides an intuitive
query interface.
- Implemented Text-to-SQL RAG systems for structured database
querying via natural language.
- Created knowledge graph based RAG solutions for complex
relationship mapping and inference.
- Built multimodal hybrid RAG for medical diagnosis that processes
various input types and data formats.
These projects demonstrate my ability to work with different RAG
architectures that would be valuable for developing a sophisticated music
recommendation system.
What excites me about this project is the combination of NLP for emotional
state detection and personalized recommendation systems. I believe my
technical skills and experience with conversational AI would make me a
strong contributor to bring this project to life.
I have already prepared a preliminary proposal draft for this project that
outlines my approach, timeline, and implementation strategy. I would
welcome the opportunity to discuss this draft with the project mentors to
refine it based on their insights and project requirements.
