Dear Dimitrios, Nikos and Panagiotis, My name is Spyridon Stamou, and I am a 5th-year Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the Technical University of Crete. I am writing to express my strong interest in the "GlossAPI: Needs-Driven Evolution of the Dataset Production Pipeline for Greek Language Data for Greek Language Data" project for GSoC 2026 under GFOSS. The project's focus on dataset ingestion, workflow execution, and pipeline maintainability aligns perfectly with my specialization in data engineering and backend development. I have a solid background in Python and version control using Git/GitHub. Currently, for my Diploma Thesis, I am designing distributed services for the analytical processing of large-scale maritime AIS data using Apache Spark. Additionally, I have hands-on experience building a Python tool for data analysis, which covered all development phases including logging, profiling, and unit testing, as well as processing high-volume data streams using Apache Flink and Kafka. I would like to study the glossAPI repository to familiarize myself with the codebase and the current data acquisition paths. To help me prepare a strong, relevant proposal, are there any specific "good first issues", minor bugs, or architectural documentation you would recommend I look into first?
