Hi @Christos Chronis@Alexis Apostolakis@Simon Vellas, My name is Mohid Babanbhai, and I am very interested in contributing to the open-source satellite AI tools for GSoC 2026. To familiarize myself with the ecosystem, I recently opened a Pull Request [ https://github.com/Orion-AI-Lab/TIRAuxCloud/pull/10#issue-4163073642] on the TIRAuxCloud repository to add a minimal, end-to-end evaluation example. Working on this inspired me to structure my GSoC proposal around extending this pipeline with Uncertainty Quantification and Explainable AI (Grad-CAM) for thermal satellite models. I have put together a draft of my proposal here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LPJu3U5uSPkSJ3Jf8BJm3kaUAbWBgXOBTgQOHiTD4po/edit?usp=sharing I know you are incredibly busy reviewing applications, but if you have a spare moment, I would deeply appreciate any feedback on the timeline—specifically if my approach to the Uncertainty Quantification integration aligns with the lab's technical goals. Thank you for your time and for maintaining these excellent open-source models! Best regards, B_Mohid (B-Mohid) <https://github.com/B-Mohid>
