We will do legal research to education exceptions, do research on common practices by teachers in the digital age, and develop an campaign to grow support for a more open flexible copyright framework for teachers in Europe. We are very excited to be able to do this, and ask for your help. Now, in the early phases of the project we are organising an intimate copyright reform for education stakeholders meeting, in Vienna on October 21st. We invite representatives from key educational institutions in Europe, as well as known advocates for copyright reform to share information and views on the matter. Practically: In Vienna we will have a full day meeting where we aim to do three things as a group. First, to familiarise ourselves with the current stakes in the copyright debate surrounding education which is looking very interesting. Second, we will share our plans for the Copyright Reform for Education project, looking for input and feedback on the needs of the education field. Lastly, we will strategize to see how we can amplify each other's voices in the copyright reform debate, making sure we will end up with a copyright exception for education that helps educators across Europe do their good work. We would like to ask for your suggestions and connections of relevant European education stakeholders who might give valuable input and feedback to the project and whom we can invite to the meeting. Our aim is to build good relations with them and and get them involved in the Copyright reform for Education process.
