Linux (WBEL) was born from the ashes of Red Hat Linux, to fill the gap
between Fedora Core and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Its initial creation
was sponsored by the Beauregard Parish Public Library in DeRidder, LA,
USA, which had several servers and over fifty workstations running Red
Hat Linux and were left high and dry by Red Hat's recent shift in
business plan. The WBEL's first initial release, version 3.0, is now
available: "WBEL 3.0 final is now available for your downloading
pleasure. Movement is happening on AMD64 and IA64 ports. Watch this
space for details or join the -devel mailing list and get involved."
