Σχετικά με το workshop με καλεσμένο τον Erik Duval ( http://erikduval.wordpress.com) στα γραφεία του ΕΔΕΤ την Πέμπτη 19/05 τα θέματα που έχουν προταθεί για συζήτηση από τους συμμετέχοντες είναι τα εξής: - Non-traditional and non-formal methods for learning environments and case studies. - A problem with introducing new approaches in real school settings is teacher acceptance. How can we avoid the feeling of teachers being threatened by the introduction of Open Learning Environments? - There is a body of research showing that an active learning approach, based on research and learning, is more efficient than traditional ones (for a recent example, see Science, Vol. 332 no. 6031 pp. 862-864). In such settings, students must do their own research and find the material pertinent to the task at hand. For that they can use the web, as is indexed by billion-dollar businesses like Google, or organised by huge cooperative efforts like Wikipedia. Why should students be encouraged to use specific learning environments instead, whose ontologies and material may be outdated or lacking in volume, and whose use may hinder serendipity in the learning process? - What limitations are posed by language barriers to Open Learning Environments? In secondary education, especially the first grades, students in Greek may not be able to use material in other languages.
