I have a few more questions for you. a) Do you consider a graphical interface or a web app to search the database ? b) Do you think it will be helpful to break the database into parts for every file type ? Thanks for your previous answers the project is now way more understood, Nikos Στις Πέμ, 1 Απρ 2021 στις 1:03 π.μ., ο/η Alexios Zavras <zvr+eellak [ at ] zvr [ dot ] gr> έγραψε: > Right. > Although one can easily think of different ways to search, like: > hashes search -t sha1 0x5678... ; # specify which type of hash > hashes search 0x1234... ; # search for any hash > > > On Wed, Mar 31, 2021, at 16:42, Nikolaos Sokos wrote: > > So if i want to search and answer whether this file has been already > > seen i cannot just check if its sha-1 is available , because it might > > not be stored and maybe its sha-2 is stored.
