Hi folks!

I have now overhauled the translation hub on Meta. Hopefully it is more
clear than the last one. I have also deployed a new translation template,
called "Translate-status", on all translated pages. The reasoning for
changing the template is that as a translator, you will be interested to see
what work there is to do in your language. Therefore links to the other
pages that need translation are far more relevant than translation of the
same page into all other languages (as was the case until today). The new
template should be pretty self-explanatory, but all improvement suggestions
and feedback are very welcome!

New hub: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2011/Translation
New template (example):
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Translate-status/Fundraising_2011/de(change
"de" to your language code to see yours)

Other things that will come are:
* A new signup system for translators (don't worry - if you filled in the
survey or are on this list, you won't have to do this; it is for new people
coming in), to organize people in a more efficient way. As part of this this
list will be shut down, but don't worry; nothing will really change for you
guys.
* Global message delivery - so that people can get a notification on their
talk page when there are new things to translate.
* CentralNotice to recruit more translators (in select languages at first).

We have also put a Process specification document on Meta; it is about what
the plans and ideas about this translation project are. It is a long read,
but if you are interested you can read it here:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2011/Translation/Process .

Also since last time, one more translation request has been put up: The FAQ.
It is most likely the biggest page to be translated during this fundraiser,
so it would be good to start soon. To start translating it, go to your
language's template (you'll find the list of language templates in the hub)
and click the "FAQ" link.

As always, if you have any feedback or questions at all, please don't
hesitate to e-mail me or ask at
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Fundraising_2011/Translation . I would
especially like feedback on the new hub and template (are they simple
enough? Too confusing? Missing something? Overloaded with information? Or
good enough as they are?)
