By mistake the following mail went astray, so I send it again standing
ashamed in the corner:

Hi everyone,

As some of you may remember, I deal with the idea of finding a
substitute for the default "Thorndale"-Font shipped with StarOffice, but
not with OpenOffice.org. The workaround, as far as i know, is to wait
until useres stumble over it and ask on user-lists; then they are
advised to download MS-fonts from sourceforge.net.
Does anyone know, if there is a solution in sight or if a matching font
has been found by SUN, which will be integrated into OOo in the near
future?
To give you a clue, I quote short passages from former mails with

This one is my personal favourite. I already took the chance and
asked Victor Gaultney for permission and signing the JCA; this is
part of his answer:

Maybe it's time to take a new effort, and ask him again?

These could be alternatives.

Best regards,
