I can't speak for the specific project, but usually
the proposed work plans that are submitted are
on a weekly basis (roughly) and describe concretely
what will be done in each time frame.
only in this case one can monitor progress
and determine whether the student is following the plan.
with a timeline like the one you presented above,
at the end of the first month, your mentors
will be called to evaluate your performance.
how will they do this? you would have obviously
"begin to write..." but without specific deliveries
your work might or might not be on track.
please consider providing much more details on the planned work.
