Hi Alexios, thank you for your reply ! I've gone through the mailing list, and I think I understand most of the specifications needed for the project. I've understood the primary focus is to make it reliable, and easily self-hostable, instead of a service hosted somewhere. I don't have any particular doubts in the database / interface part, but would it be beneficial to develop testing suites for the package listings generated by package managers of different distros ? I have experience with unit / integration testing in python. Would developing a prototype for fetching info + unit testing the 3 main package managers (apt/dpkg, pacman, dnf/yum) be a decent addition to the proposal ?
