Hi! I am Raghav Sharma, currently a Computer Science and Engineering student at Thapar University, Patiala, India. I am writing this mail since I was interested in one of the project ideas proposed by your team for GSOC 2022. The project is for the Development of a management system for NodeRed Instances. As an undergraduate student, I am deeply involved in DevOps and automation. I have a deep interest in making automation scripts in Python and experimenting with IoT using Raspberry Pi. Looking at the project idea's abstract, I feel I can learn and have fun working on it. I have some expertise in containerizing applications and have been doing so with many of my projects. I would like to know more about this project and would love to be involved in building the project. Some of my relevant projects are: a) Notion-DiscordBot A link management system developed in Python using the Notion API to manage links in Notion via Discord. This bot is currently containerized and deployed on a Google cloud server serving 25 discord servers worldwide. b) Smart-Home-Doorbell An intelligent doorbell that clicks a photo of the guest at the door and sends it to the house owners over telegram. I built this using a raspberry pi which controlled the actual bell and doorbell switch. c) Home-Lab-Server A samba file server, media server, and CCTV system built on an open-source project called MotionEyeOS. It is also a virtualization server running a custom PFsense router and a VM hosting multiple containerized public APIs. The home lab was built as an experimentation lab where different ideas and tools could be tested and used.
